ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a singer-songwriter, guitarist and recording artist Larry draws on a long and varied history of music reaching back to college performances with a Willamette University folk group called The Sloe Valley Singers
A veteran
teacher of English and Psychology, he began writing songs under the guidance of
hit songwriter Steve Seskin in l999. Here
is what Steve Seskin said about his work:
“I’m a big fan of Larry’s music: it’s honest and fresh, and has that
thing you can't quite put your finger on, that X-factor -the imagination and word play
and knack for storytelling - that no matter how hard you try, you just can’t teach someone.”

Larry has performed in Nashville, where he wrote and recorded an Americana/Country song, Newcomer, and secured two jazz tunes on contract with an independent publisher for film and TV. He also has two film credits.
He was featured at the Kerrville TX Folk Fest and was a featured performer at the Florence, Oregon, Folk Festival. He also was a Premiere Artist selected for the Far West Folk Alliance Conference. Larry teamed up with Eric Chun to headline the Sierra Foothills Beer Fest May 2016 in Auburn and has played solo gigs at the Naggiar Winery in the Gold Country.
Larry has co-written songs with the likes of hit songwriter George Merrill (Boy Meets Girl, Whitney Houston “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and “How Will I Know” and Joel Evans (Cinemasters), songwriter and poet Scott O’Brien, Richard Mitchell, formerly of Curb Music, Nashville, and has shared the stage with renowned Lucia Comnes, world class violinist, and singer-songwriter.
